Cookies

The complete cookie inventory of hookget.com, and the mechanism for managing it. Both fit on one screen, because there is almost nothing to manage.

In short

  • This website sets zero cookies. No analytics, no trackers, no third-party embeds, no fingerprinting.
  • The dashboard app (app.hookget.com) stores two values in your browser's localStorage: your session token and your theme choice. Both are strictly necessary — no consent required, none asked for.
  • No banner, because a banner implies a choice we have not taken from you.

Questions

Why is there no cookie banner?

Because there is nothing to consent to. Consent requirements (ePrivacy/GDPR) apply to storage that is not strictly necessary — analytics, advertising, cross-site tracking. This site sets none of any kind, and the app's two localStorage values are strictly necessary for the service you signed into. A banner here would be theatre, and worse: it would train you to dismiss banners on sites where they matter.

What if that changes?

Then this page changes FIRST, and anything non-essential ships behind a real opt-in — off until you say yes. That is a published commitment, and the page's edit date is the audit trail.

How do I clear the app storage?

Sign out (removes the session token), or clear site data for app.hookget.com in your browser. The theme preference resets to dark.
